Elton Gardening Club
Elton Gardening Club meets monthly at 7.30 pm in Elton Village hall on the last Thursday of each month with the exception of August.
During the lighter evenings of June and July we take the opportunity to visit local gardens. During the summer we also try to arrange trips to well known gardens, such as the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr. This year we will be going to Teversall Manor Gardens near Sutton-in-Ashfield in June and to Cascades in Bonsall in July.
The club has over 30 members, not only from Elton, but from surrounding villages as well. Non-members are always welcome to attend meetings at a small cost of £2.00.
At our monthly meetings we arrange speakers who give very interesting talks, mostly illustrated with slides, on a wide variety of horticultural subjects e.g. fuchsias, herbs, vegetable gardening, bonsai, euphorbias and many more.
Anyone is very welcome to join the club and/or participate in our visits.
