About Elton Jubilee Field

Elton Jubilee Sports and Recreation Field was bought by the village in 1977. The field and its facilities are used throughout the year by families, village organisations and Elton Primary School.

The Jubilee Field is open to the general public at all times. The Jubilee Field doubles up as cricket pitch in summer and a football pitch in winter with Elton's Cricket Club and Football Club using the field to host their home matches. The Jubilee Field also accommodates a pavilion and children's playing area.

The Jubilee Field is managed by a committee of trustees who are selected by and represent the individual organisations within the Parish. These trustees are responsible for the
management of the Jubilee Field and help to organize fund raising events. Village residents contribute to the up-keep of the Jubilee Field and its Pavilion.

'Elton Jubilee Field Improvement Project'

The Jubilee Field Committee are currently engaged in a major 'Improvement Project.' The project aims to create a modern sports and recreational field for use by village residents, the wider community and for people of all ages, gender and ability.

The Jubilee Field Committee has recently begun work on the new access road which will lead to a new Pavilion/Club House and car park, creating better access for the elderly and disabled. The 'Jubilee Field Improvement Plan' also includes the provision of a flood-lit multi-use games area and a rejuvenated children's play area.

Elton's Annual Beer Festival

The Jubilee Field is home to Elton's Annual Beer Festival. The event is held to raise funds for the Jubilee Field and its much needed 'Improvement Project'.

Revellers from across the county and beyond enjoy a weekend of real ale, music, entertainment and food. A campsite within the village is provided to revellers who wish to stay for the whole weekend. The Beer Festival has increased in popularity year on year and continues to pull in the crowds.

Elton Beer Festival 2008 was the most successful to date raising an amazing £6000 towards the 'Jubilee Field Improvement Project'.
