Elton C of E Primary school is located on the main street of the village next to the All Saints Church.
The school is located in a well maintained Victorian building which dates back to 1882. It houses two classrooms for the infants and juniors, a servery kitchen and an office. The school also has two hard surface playgrounds.

The school has approximately 30 pupils on its roll from Elton and the surrounding Parishes. Most pupils transfer to Highfields School, Matlock, or Lady Manners, Bakewell, once they have completed their time at Elton School.
