Elton has once again achieved great success in the Calor Gas Derbyshire Village of the Year Competition.
In the 2008 entry, Elton came first under the category of BUSINESS and joint first, alongside Church Broughton, in the COMMUNICATIONS category.
These awards continue to build on Elton's success in the competition in which the village won the top title of 'Derbyshire Village of the Year' in 2004 and 2007.
A big thank you must go to everybody who contributed to Elton's entry both in the run up to the competition and during the judge's visit.
Everybody's contribution was essential and very much appreciated!
Thanks also to Calor Gas Limited, the sponsors of the competition and to the jude's, particularly Chris Adlington.
Elton would like to pass on sincere congratulations to Hathersage who were crowned 'Derbyshire Village of the Year'!
