Elton Youth Club is held fortnightly on Tuesday evenings at the Village Hall between 6.30pm and 8.00pm during the school term.
Children who live in the village or attend Elton Primary School, between ten and fourteen years old, are eligible for membership.
The Youth Club offers a variety of fun activities, including pool, table tennis, air hockey, computer games, arts and crafts, board games and much more. In summer the Youth Club moves outdoors to play a range of sporting games such as, football, rounders and cricket along with occasional walks and treasure hunts.
Members are regularly taken on a variety of fun outings. Past trips have included 'Mega Zone Lazer Quest', ten-pin bowling, cinema and ice skating. Outings are offered at a reduced rate, subsidised by the club.
The Youth Club also holds parties, such as fancy dress Halloween and Christmas parties.
A programme of club nights and outings are arranged at the start of each school term with members suggesting what activities they would like to do and where they would like to go on outings.
A tuc shop is available on each club night offering a variety of sweets, chocolate bars, crisps and drinks.
Annual membership charge is £3.00, with a fee of £1.00 per member each club session. Members are welcome to bring along one friend to each club night. Only Youth Club members are eligible to take part in club outings for insurance reasons.
Youth Club leaders are police checked by the Criminals Record Bureau.
